Lol Sarah, either way it got rave reviews. I'd still rather call it Haggis than chicken part oatmeal. Tongue Out
If people can call a vegan dish haggis, I think my chicken one can also be chicken Haggis.

Tentative menu for beginning of next week:
Sunday -- leftover soup, grilled chicken strips, homemade spinach/potato knishes
Monday -- falafel patties, mac and cheese (10 lbs of macaroni left -- then there are shells and ziti, etc etc!), israeli salad
Tuesday -- split pea soup, stuffed manicotti (I noticed I have an entire unopened box; yikes!)

I feel for you. I have learned through sad experience not to buy pasta in bulk later than, say, Tisha B'Av.

My problem is we stock up on yoshon and so I try to have enough for the season, and with little kids, it's hard to know what they will eat when. When I was stocking up, my daughter was just starting solids. My son hadn't started school yet and I had no idea if he would want sandwiches every day or not.
I should have paid more attention throughout the year at our supply, but we had quite a few boxes in the basement I didn't know about.

What's nice about where we live is that there is a yoshon exchange where I can give my yoshon extras for others who need it which I may very well do if my sister in law doesn't want any Smile

This past week:
Sunday: shabbos leftovers
Monday: vegetable soup, meatballs, and spaghetti
Tuesday: chicken cutlets cut up in a sauce, mashed potatoes, and squash
Wednesday: burgers, buns, corn on the cob, onion rings, and French fries
Thursday: chicken and rice in the crock pot (I never did that before so I hope it comes out good) and either a vegetable or a soup

I think it was just a canned veggie soup. I didn't even eat it, DH wanted it so he made it for himself.

Corn salad and pizza with spinach, jalapenos, and black olives
