It feels like every night I’m racing to get my baby dinner but she’s melting down in the meantime. On the days she goes to daycare I don’t get home till 4:30, I have to entertain my toddler and get dinner on the table and sometimes she wants to be nursed. By the time dinner is ready it’s 5:30 or so and she is melting down in her high chair. Should I give up trying to give her the dinner that the rest of us eat and just give something else? She can’t have dairy or eggs so it’s pretty limited.

I’d give her something to start with while you are getting it ready. Also consider making it the night before and just warming it up from the fridge.

I would save her a portion of last night's dinner every day. At this age they don't care as much about fresh or reheated.
ETA I saw the allergies. In that case I would save her every night I make a safe dinner (chicken, meat, etc) enough till the next time I make a safe dinner. Unless you make chicken every night that makes it easier.

Good ideas don’t know why I didn’t think of that!
