So Sunday night we had the chicken soup w/o soup thing (it had chicken, potato, sweet potato, onion, carrots, and celery) and leftover chicken soup and apple kugel from Shabbos.
Monday night I made whole wheat onion rolls (took a regular recipe and just used whole wheat flour instead), tuna mushroom quiche, and zucchini soup.
Last night for R"C I made the cranberry steak from here (hot dogs for the kids that had been in our freezer for way too long; I never buy them but it was a postpartum pinch supper), garlic roasted potatoes.
Tonight -- family thingy out.
Tomorrow night -- shloshim thingy out.
So I didn't have to do much menu planning.

Yeah, chilled out here too between the move and the heat.

Sunday was Shabbos leftovers of soup and challah.
Monday was Shabbos leftovers of coldcut sandwiches on sliced challah and a salad.
Tuesday was my kids' favorite meat sauce and noodles recipe made for a Rosh Chodesh treat for them.
Wednesday (today) I have no clue yet for tonight or tomorrow. Maybe baked chicken, rice, and veggies for Rosh Chodesh.

I love reading the menus - it gives me such great ideas! Only problem - DH is pretty much against eating meat on weekdays (means he can't have his coffe with
Coffeemate until midnight!) and DH is pretty much against New Food. Doesn't see the point in it. Two scariest 5-word sentences in my house: "Honey, we need to talk." and "I have a new recipe."

Sun: Fish tacos
Mon: Corn, imitation crab and cheese enchiladas
Tue: Spinach, mushroom and ricatto cheese calzones
Wed: Beans and rice with corn bread
Thu: "Fake-aroni" (Beefaroni with soy crumbles instead of beef)
