No it’s filthy, if I don’t have a straw I’ll wash it, but don’t like pouring it into a cup because then it touches even more parts. Also when swabbed it’s been found to have mice and rat feces.

I grew up drinking directly from a can and it never occurred to me that it may not be very hygienic. When I married DH he would ideally wash it first but at the very least use a straw. I was so surprised but I do it his way now. I was curious how common it is either way

I think drinks taste better in a cup so most of the time I pour it but once in a while I will drink out of the can.

I prefer to use a straw if one is available. At the very least I clean off the top of the can before opening it.

Here in Israel, the last few years the cans come with a cover over the top. You peel off the cover before opening the can, def seems more hygienic.

For all those saying you use a straw cuz of hygiene, do you realize that when you pop the can open the piece that pops goes directly into the liquid in the can? So even those whose a straw, should wash the top first.

Tbh when I added the last option, I had in mind people who eat clean, who don’t eat or drink from tin or aluminum. I didn’t anticipate the unrefined aspect
