Don't worry, it comes out delishes on the stove top I just like to have oven options. (I made it last night in a pot.)
Use the same ingredients. But only use 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice.
Brown the rice for a few minutes in a drop of oil. Add the water. Bring to a boil. Lower flame to tiny simmer, cover and cook for 50 minutes. Add onions, teriyaki sauce, and salt. Mix well. Turn off flame.

That's a good one!

Thank G-d dh likes Fleishigs as much as I do.
And since dd cannot have Milchig...

Mimsy, sorry took me a while to get to posting this recipe. I'll try posting the others later. Enjoy!
Sweet Potato Burritos - serves 3
Ing
3/4 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/4 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 cups canned kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup water
2-1/4 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
2-1/4 teaspoons soy sauce
1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
3 (10 inch) flour tortillas, warmed
2 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Heat oil in a medium skillet, and saute onion and garlic until soft. Stir in beans, and mash. Gradually stir in water, and heat until warm. Remove from heat, and stir in the chili powder, cumin, mustard, cayenne pepper and soy sauce.
Divide bean mixture and mashed sweet potatoes evenly between the warm flour tortillas. Top with cheese. Fold up tortillas burrito style, and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven, and serve.

1/4 c white wine
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 fresh lemon, juiced or 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
3Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped

In lg. skillet, heat oil and marg. Brown chicken breasts. When chicken is no longer pink on the inside, approx 3-5 min each side, remove from skillet. Place in covered dish to keep chicken warm. Set aside.
Add garlic to skillet and saute. Add wine and chicken broth. cook over high heat, until liquid is reduced by half. Stir lemon juice into mixture. Add browned chicken breasts to skillet. Warm with the liquid mixture over low heat, for 5 min. Remove from heat.

Chicken Pot Pie is a savory pie filled with a chicken stew. Since 1951, it has been a very common frozen meal. I use the Spice and Spirit recipe on page 243. It's great for leftover cooked chicken from making chicken broth. Do you have the cookbook handy?
