OY!!! I turned off my fish at 10 and put it in the sink in cold water to cool off, intending to put it in the fridge before I went to bed. I came out this morning at 8 and it's still in the sink!!!! OMG! what do I do? DO I dump it? Or is 10 hours for cooked fish in a coolish though not ice cold place not bad? it smells fine. What do I do????

What type?
If it is pickeled - like pickled salmon - I would maybe keep it if it smells ok - otherwise I would toss (especially gefilte fish)

Actually, it would really depend on how warm your kitchen was overnight.
