Keep it low key. Most babies get overwhelmed by too much stimulation. I dont even do 1st birthday parties since my niece started crying when they brought out the cake. I do big 2 year old parties when the toddler knows what's going on.

1 yr old birthday parties are for the parents, not the baby.
So choose whatever theme you want that you think is cute!
(Personally I don't do 1 year birthday parties)

You can choose colors you like and do it based on that, pink and gold, pastels…
Or a fruit theme, lemons, strawberries..

Did this for my girls. It came with a huge gold “1” door streamers pink balloons and white balloons with pink circles inside.
It also came with two gorgeous door streamers rose gold.

My big girls wanted to do a cake smash. So they made her a cupcake and decorated it. They also made a backdrop and put her in a tutu.
We were all involved in taking pictures and recording it.
