I'm spending an extended amount of time with the in-laws since we see them very rarely. Staying in their home, etc.
However they are very forward in their speech and don't seem to have a lot of boundaries in what they discuss. Example is over Shabbos my Father in law told me not to drink too much wine because I might end up pregnant. And that every time we come for a visit I conceive a child. I literally wanted the ground to swallow me up at that point. I'm not sure how I'm going to survive 3 weeks of in-laws time.
I'm at a loss.

You have to understand that what they say doesn't reflect anything on you, it only reflects on them.

They just sound ridiculous!

But, it's good to also think that they don't really mean it. That they just like to make people smile by saying funny things, that they love thier kids etc.

Very hard grey-walling is what I am trying to do. Don’t engage don’t react. Don’t initiate conversation. Do your part, deal with your kids.
