My boys have requested Meat Sambusak and Lachmagine for the chag. I'd love to get some good recipes!

They tasted a Sambusak they liked, but I can't get a hold of that specific recipe. All I know is that the meat filling was sweet, and that it was pan fried but then finished with boiling water, so the filling was soft, not hard and crumbly. A quick internet search yielded lots of recipes, but none with these particular cooking instructions.

If anyone has a great recipe they don't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate it!

Don't get too excited yet! I'm a brave cook, but there's no telling how my experiments come out 🤪

Do you live in Brooklyn? There's a company that sells lachmagine sauce it's cAlled Sophia's they carry it in the freezer section of moishas every 1 1/2 lb of chop meat to one container of sauce depending on how saucy your boys like the meat and buy mini pizza doughs they come in a 24 pack mix up the meat flatten it on the dough and bake very easy and simple. There are many homemade recipes
Of the sauce but this one foolproof

Best sauce! It’s also sold in Lakewood at Jerusalem Glatt.

Super easy if you can ready sauce and mini pizza doughs. All you need to is mix the chop meat with the sauce, top each round with the mixture and bake.

If you need to make your own doughs it’s a real hassle.

This but with tamarind instead of lemon. Make sure it's pure tamarind, not with sugar added.

Hi guys!

Just came back to this thread as I get ready to shop and cook for the chag today and saw some posts I didn't get a chance to read.

Totally taking a trip to Jerusalem Glatt today! Thank you!
