I prefer mixing in bags…

I hate taking out mixer. Even a hand mixer. I try to only make recipes mix by hand. One bowl.

The 9x13 recipes work best if you spray pan first with pan.

But I prefer tripling in a bowl. Line pans with parchment. Bake. Then stack parchment with cake in one 9x13 and freeze like that.

If you hate taking out even a simple hand mixer you need to check how and where you store it. Is it stored in a place where you have a hard time to reach it? Where do you store your regular mixer? Same question, is it stored in a hard to reach place?

After I had a Pyrex dish shatter suddenly with little couscous balls rolling all over my hot oven, why would I want to take the risk of it ever happening again? Rather stick with my disposable, no-need-to-clean pans. Any alternatives?

Yes. Stainless steel pans.

The funniest is some refuse to use a pot if it's aluminium but won't have an issue to bake every item in alu pans without further thought. What's the difference?

Never though about it. Would love to switch one day but not now. Maybe when my kids are bigger...

Anything new takes me longer than tried and true.
Even if it’s mix in a 9*13 pan, the way my hand habitually moves it is fit for a bowl and not a shallow pan. It will take getting used to which is by definition harder than what I always did
Also aren’t we supposed to cover the pan with oil against sticking?

I use a plug in timer so it switches off automatically,

I agree. I have a device I plug the crockpot into that will shut if off after 6 hours (the timer isn't as accurate since sometimes it doesn't turn on when it should).

What do you do if you are doubling recipes and freezing for yomtov? You have many stains less steel pans? Or some other solution?

Thats why many use Parchment Paper whenever they use disposable pans.

Especially if it’s baking (dry) rather than cooking (wet), there’s much less transfer from the pan to the food.

My kitchen is small
I actually moved my stand mixer to the basement bec it is used twice a year.

My hand mixer is simple to get to.

You have clean the beaters. Wipe down the mixer. Wrap the cord. Put it away. Wait for beaters to dry before putting away. Takes an extra 5-7 minutes. Extra stuff sitting on counter drying taking up space I don’t have.

I have one sink so can’t put anything to soak in the sink for later.

I need things that are fast with minimal washing.

Who has time for all that when all you need is a spoon for many delicious recipes? And I bake a ton daily.

The 9x13 between carpool recipes are a good start
Brownies
Bundt cakes (there are a ton on here - one bowl, spoon)
Sugar cookies
Biscotti
Choc chip cookies
Honey cookies
Etc

There are so many.

I also avoid using margarine which makes it much easier.

Depends what you bake in them. I prefer to transfer content to a plastic box if possible.
I'm not a kugel fan so it's not an issue for me.

You need a larger kitchen with it least two separate sinks!
