Mandarin Orange
Chicken Soup(matzoballs are in the fridge ready to go)
Chicken with spices and orange juice

Feel the need for a kugel, hubbie will hopefully pick one up

First time in a while I have a meal worth posting:

Challah and dips (hummus, guacamole, salsa)
Baked gefilte fish in french dressing
Chicken soup
Roasted root veggies (potato, yam, onion, garlic, shallot, carrot, parsnip)
Green beans and almonds
Chinese cole slaw
Roasted chicken with peppers and tomatoes
Dessert (cookies, brownies)

Homemade Challa
salmon
carrot salad
green bean salad
tossed salad
garlic dip
roasted chicken
brown rice w/ mushrooms and onions
roasted broccoli
apple kugel

Unsure about dessert, waiting for inspiration.

(and no, we are not having soup this week, Clarissa)

For us it’s either a Shalom Zachur or a Kiddush. I don’t even care anymore which one! So it’s either beans and beer or cheesecake.

Friday night is just us so it will be

Fish
Soup
Salad
Chicken
Potatoes
And some sort of vegetable for me which no one else will touch I assume.

We are having yeshiva guys over for lunch so it will be:
Fish
Salad
Cholent
Roast with potatoes
Shnitzle
Either deli roll or deli wraps
Potato Kugel
Cranberry Apple kugel
Cookie Ice cream pie

And me on a diet with a lame little bowl of salad. Blech.

Garlic dip:

Take 2 whole garlic heads, cut off the top and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap in foil (or use one of those clay things for roasting garlic.) Roast until very soft at 425 degrees. About 45 min, I think.

Peel one apple and remove seeds. Steam until very soft.

In a food processor, squeeze out garlic from skins, add cooked apple, salt, pepper, and a drop of lemon juice and 1 tsp of mayo. Puree until smooth. Adjust spices according to your taste. Chill.

I have another great garlic dip redipe- my kids love and husband.

I dont have measurements with me but this is approx.
1 cup of mayo, 4 garlic cloves, about 1/4-1/2 cup flavoured read crumbs salt pepper- cruch all in food processer.

my family kvetches when we DONT have it at shabos meal.

If anyone wants better measurements pm and I will post later or tomorrow.

Here are the right measuremnets for my garlic dip
2 cups mayo
5 TBSP flavoured breadcrumbs
5 cloves garlic ( put more if want more garlicy and less if want less garl;icy)
salt
pepper
if not using flavored breadcrumbs add parsley

put all in food processer and chill for at least 2 hours

tuna gefilte fish- either baked, boiled, or fried. havent decided yet.
marinated dinner salad
sfardic spaghetti baked with chicken and tomato sauce
ETA: Mushroom bourekas.
