I don't want to hurt or embarrass anyone, but in light of the thread about Imamother recipes failing...
I tried a certain person's recipe for peanut better and jam on a challah roll and it failed. I mean, it stunk. Not only did I hate it, but so did my whole family, and our guests, when they departed, announced that they would never eat in our home again.

omg - I inadvertently made a huge error in that recipe - I do NOT - I repeat - I do NOT - have not recently nor in the past used jelly ... but rather jam or preserves ... I hope I have not caused any undue taste issues with anybody on imamother or on the planet earth ... 8)

I'm on strike. If I see another chicken again I will scream.
(Yeah, right....I'm sure I will cave tomorrow and cook something...I am so not in the mood...)
Sorry for hijacking, guys. Your menus look great.

Due to a stomach bug and a foot injury, my husband asked me not to cook this week. I insisted on doing a little something, but he refused to shop for ingredients, because he thought I'd wind up cooking, anyway. So I did cook, but just made a couple of things with stuff I had in the house:
Pancakes with bananas
Corn quiche
Chocolate pudding

All these fancy sounding meals!
I had no time to cook last night nor was I up to cooking much today... it's been a crazy week... my husband hurt his back (herniated disk) on simcha torah and he can't do anything right now... poor thing... been busy taking care of both him and our 6 month old baby.
I just made fish (just some lemon, spices and a little olive oil) and spaghetti for dinner (and challah I already had made in the freezer). My shabbos guests are bringing salad and dessert. Easy, simple quick dinner.
Lunch is just chicken schnitzel, cold-cuts and rice. We're having guests again and they're bringing potatoes, salad and dessert. Quick, easy simple meals.

In the chicken section. Its amazing. The best part is you put it in the oven and forget about it for 5-6 hours.
