Switched the Hungarian terms there.

What's the izzay?
What's going on with izzay?

And in Yiddish to sh*t means to pour, πŸ˜‚.

Nowadays most people use the word gisen, but I still like to use sometimes the old-fashioned word for the fun of it.

Izay (not sure of spelling) translates to thingamajig.

And it’s fasirt with an β€œr”. An β€˜s’ is pronounced as β€œsh” in Hungarian.

I don't understand this thread. Are you supposed to share words you've never heard of? If you've never heard them, how could you share them?

Or words you use that are not so common that your family uses?
We call an oven a bruter not oiven. A belt a reeman not pasik.
99% of people I know are familiar with these words just use the more common ones.

I'm sure there are a lot. I just don't get how to use this thread appropriately.

We use it like an anthropologist on Mars.

Yes! We grew up with that word. Hate it. I call it a shissel.

What about loiza ayer? With pieces of rye bread mixed in. We loved it!

Fusheert with an r- chicken patties
Bundash- french toast
Nokerlach- egg drop
Shpigel ayer- sunny side up
Ibergetzoygine - breaded/ cutlet

Fushit is not with an R. It's a boroparker grammar error.
