The best I’ve been able to do this week is 37 cents per egg for a double 18 pack of white large from Walmart.
I didn’t get to aldi or TJs to see what that would have run but Walmart was much better than the other grocery stores in my area.
Note: I’ve found sometimes the fancier eggs end up being cheaper. Sometimes we’re buying egglands best or brown eggs from Walmart. I check every week because it’s so dynamic.

I pay $4.70 for 15 eggs. Last week I got 18 eggs on sale for $5.50. I don't live in the USA, and these have been the egg prices since the last bout of avian flu - when was that, 4? 5? years ago.

It was $6.99 for a dozen eggs in Lakewood last week!
I was shocked!
So I went to Walmart and paid $6.39 for 18 eggs. It used to be a lot less in Walmart… but at least I paid much less than the local grocery store.

For those blaming BIRD FLU
By me, the price of chicken stayed more or less the same.
I understand that eggs come from a different type of chicken, but wouldn’t the bird flu affect the price of chicken as well?

I would be very happy for you if you're able to get cheap eggs, but don't be too jealous. Everything in Canada is waaay more expensive.
And the exchange rate is now at 1.43.

people with WIC are buying them regardless of price, and so groceries charge more for L.
Sounds crazy, but every store I’ve gone to has L eggs for more expensive than xl. |
True, but it isn't that they're being dishonest. Eggs are usually a loss leader. Their loosing money each time you buy. So if you're getting the eggs for free, there is no reason for them to waste money on you.

The chicken you eat typically comes from birds that are approximately 7 weeks old. They don't have much time to catch the flu lol!

Not necessarily the same price. There's is a *max price* but store may choose to sell cheaper.
