In connection to blood or other problems. I remember hearing that there is a problem.

There is a real issue with blood spots, as the eggs could actually be fertilized. Just check the eggs.

They have more blood spots than "factory" style eggs so you end up throwing out more. If organic is important to you then that might not be a problem.

We’ve been using pasture raised for years. I think I’ve had one blood spot in that time and even then I’m not 100% sure. I do check the eggs of course but I haven’t had to throw out a bunch. It’s definitely worth making sure you know the difference between a protein and a blood spot though as I do see a lot of protein.

This is from meta AI:
Here are some well-known farms and brands that explicitly state their eggs are not fertilized:
# Organic and Pasture-Raised Farms
1. *Vital Farms*: This pasture-raised egg farm explicitly states that their eggs are not fertilized.
2. *Eggland's Best*: This organic and cage-free egg farm does not have roosters in their flocks, ensuring their eggs are not fertilized.
3. *Organic Valley*: This cooperative of organic farmers produces eggs that are not fertilized, as they do not keep roosters with their hens.
# Conventional Farms
1. *Cal-Maine Foods*: This large conventional egg producer states that their eggs are not fertilized, as they do not keep roosters in their flocks.
2. *Rose Acre Farms*: Another large conventional egg producer, Rose Acre Farms, also confirms that their eggs are not fertilized.
Please note that farming practices can change, and it's always a good idea to verify this information with the farm or brand directly if you have concerns.
