I make about the most basic Shabbos possible
Friday night --
(No fish, no soup, no dips)
Homemade challah (only because this makes my kids shabbos. I make it on Sunday and freeze it)
Chicken cutlets in the oven - usually from Dinner Done
Rice in the oven
Either Green beans, Broccoli, Cauliflower roasted in the oven
Shabbos day --
No first course, no dips
Homemade challah
Cholent
Deli
If I'm feeling ambitious I'll make an 8x8 potato kugel
Easy salad - either cucumber or corn
Fruit cobbler ( can of whole Berry cranberry sauce with some other fruit. Apple, Strawberry Blueberries, whatever you have). The crumbs I make enough for 4 weeks and keep it in the freezer
Dessert I either buy cake or make something very easy like Rice Krispie treats, Duncan Hines brownies, Muddy Buddies
