I would think it is company based. I work for a small place and have gotten anywhere between $0-$1500 depending on how the company was doing at the time. Also if your husband is earning more or working more hours that would probably also contribute.

I got a $1500 bonus. We don't usually get such large bonuses before yom tov, but the past few months have been extremely busy and I've been working extremely hard. It's feels really good to have my hard work noticed and appreciated.

I don't know if any of my coworkers, male or female, got similar bonuses.

I got a honey dish before rosh hashanah. And it's busy season and I've been putting in crazy amounts of overtime.
Wanna trade?

No bonus for Yom Tov.
Usually $360 bonus around New Years.
That's it.

Some places give better bonuses than others
On the other hand, we got the insurance sign up information for next year, and they pay a very significant amount (90%) of spouse and family premiums.
So I guess that's really our bonus. To the tune of a couple of thousand dollars a year.

A family health insurance policy is $2,500-$3,500/MONTH!

Relax.

In the communities that do this the rebbeim literally work double the amount of hours as the morahs. They deserve more.

This, in our school the rebbeim are there from 8:45-2, teachers from 2-4 but not on Fridays or Sundays.

Yeah, I rarely ever get a bonus. Once we got something but we had to pay taxes on it.
Even a cake, flowers, a honey dish for RH... would be nice.

Not a teacher but working in a frum mental health agency.

So sorry you haven't been paid. That is unacceptable especially as it was over YK! Didn't they chap Al Cheit?! What a huge aveira to not pay on time.

I was going to say thats a few thousand a month, not a year. I'd take a job just to get 90% of benefits paid. I wouldn't even need a paycheck

Morahs in girls schools or with little kids work way longer than 2-4.

Rebbeim with the boys way more than the morahs are with the girls. Not sexist at all.

No, October 15 is the last day for filing individual taxes. End of the years December 31.

Yes way more. My dd teachers 9-12 or 12-4. And every other Friday. Ds rebbe is 9-2 or 9-3 including sunday. Every Friday 9-12. And the boys barely have off while the girls always do.
