Please advise chicken and rice

Looking to cook chicken and rice in 1 pan
How long do you cook
Is white or brown rice better

I use a 9×13 pan. Line with parchment paper. Add 1-2 cups uncle Ben's long grain rice. Put chicken bottoms over it. Sprinkle salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika generously. Drizzle olive oil over the bottoms. Add 2-3 cups water to the pan. Bake covered 400 for 2 hours.

My kids like medium grain rice best.

Using Montreal steak spice seems to work wonderfully in seasoning both the chicken and the rice.

I have a vacuum packed white or brown rice

I like brown rice better because it takes longer to cook. Chicken also does.
White rice becomes to mushy.

I use brown rice.
I season the rice in the pan, then pour 2x water, then place the chicken on top. Season the chicken and bake uncovered for 1.5 hours at 350.
