Good to know, added it my order. Thank you! I appreciate all your cooking advice and expertise!

Sliced onions. Soaked beans and barley (that is the part I hate the most) . Spice mixture.
I’ll just add potatoes and meat on Friday.

sky wrote: | Lol I’m getting close to filling. I try to use smallest pan size possible. no 9x13s.
I try 2.5 lb pans or 8x8. If I need bigger then shallow 9x13. Everything with a hard cover. Labeled on top and front of the pan.
Some ppl vacuum seal to fit more in. I’m not that desperate yet.
Next year I want to freeze soup and compote in square containers. The round containers are major space wasters. |
How do you vacuum seal?
I freeze the soups in parchment paper lined aluminum pans. Super easy to reheat and no greasy container/pot to wash.

I don’t. I have a neighbor with a small freezer and she said it saves so much time. You need a vacuum sealer tool to do it.

Not sure what the size is called. I think it’s a 5lb storage, but it may also be called a 5x7 deep!
That’s the amount perfect for my family size/needs.

If you make it with boneless dark chicken cutlets, and under sauté the peppers, it should be fine.

I don’t know if it’s the dark chicken cutlets. Are the typical cutlets cut, dark chicken? Honestly, looks the same, just in longer thinner strips.
Can it be made in advance and frozen? What’s the method? Just sauté onions and peppers and add chicken, strips?
Or anything else I can make with this kind of cutlet that’s different than typical dinner cutlets?

My family doesn’t mind reheated kugel. I wrap it well and heat a very very long time. |
Thank you!

Basically everything but potatoes.
Although you can freeze potato kugel if you're going to reheat it WELL.
