I took my 2 month old last week for a well visit and I pushed off the shots. I just hadn’t done enough research and didn’t want to give yet.
I don’t feel comfortable having my kids unvaccinated, at the same time I’m scared to give so young.
For those who do vaccinate but delay them, what have you done? How do I go about this, what age do you start, do you skip any vaccines? The only shot I gave at the hospital was the vit k

Is your baby home with you or in a daycare setting? If your baby is home with you, simply delay your next appointment with your pediatrician unless you have a specific concern. I think I gave my baby her first shots at five months old.
If your baby is in a daycare setting and exposed to various germs, you may need to hurry up a decision on this issue.

Halacha says the immune system isn't completely developed until 3 months old. To me the old schedule where they began after the 3 month appointment made more sense.

One more things before this thread gets out if hand like all the others ones. Keep in mind that anything fear based is not true.
So if you are making a fear based decision then take a step back and re evaluate.

I wait for my child to hit all the major milestones and then a little bit more. I only do the ones required for school.

I just delay. I don't go for regular well visits. I go maybe once or 2x a year and then I give. My toddler almost 2 only got one or 2 rounds. My 3 year old got 2 or 3 rounds.

Depends when your child will start school. Assuming you’re in ny, the doh demands that children that who are not fully up to date be put on a catch up schedule. The schedule dictates exactly which set needs to be given and it’s all four weeks apart of each other. I find it incredibly frustrating and against the backdrop of delaying shots for health, to have the immunizations given so close together.

Nope. Don't do that either. I once had my dr had me make an appointment right then and there so she can make sure I come back. I did. An hour later I canceled. You can't tie my hands in the back and shlep me. If I don't want to I just won't show up.
