I bought a house with old fashioned looking ceramic tiles, and I want to change the tiles but leave the cabinets and just paint them. People who looked at the job say removing and installing tiles in a kitchen, where there are cabinets that are remaining, makes it a much more expensive job.

Any recommendations of reasonable reliable people who do this work?

Thanks so much.

I got 2 estimates from people who I know their last names, but not the company name. Whats the owner of Interface's last name, please, if you know it? Thanks.

Also, if youre okl with sharing, what type of tile did you choose and where did you buy it?

The owner of interface is Peter Kyriakoulis.
I got tiles at step on me flooring . floor and decor also had some nice options. I went with large formate 24 by 48, matte finish.

Thanks so much. Now I know thats not the one who came to give me a quote.

Interesting though, that Step N Style gave me 3 floor installers that she recommends, all "Heimish" names.

Another option (I did it) is to put vinyl on top of the tile, cheaper since you don’t have to remove the tile

Thanks, but I heard from stores that they had too many complaints, so they dont recommend doing that any more. Vinyl is ok, but not on top of another floor.
