My granddaughter has this.
My dil noticed this morning one side swollen.
Took her to dr who said to watch it doesn’t get bigger or develop fever
She woke up from nap and it’s bigger. My son is taking her to hospital now.

Please reassure me fellow imas that with the antibiotics given intervenously, and obviously with Hashems help she will be ok

Anyone had this with their babies ?
I never did 😕

My son gets swollen lymph node glands whenever he has a strep throat. He looks scary.
Your granddaughter most likely won't need intravenous antibiotics ih. Hope it's nothing serious, refua sheleima.

IV antibiotics for a swollen lymph node?

Did they figure out which infection? It would easily be viral. Ebv commonly causes this.

Some kids get swollen lymph nodes every time they have a cold. It's generally not dangerous.

Came here to say strep. They have to culture. Usually dr don't test for strep under a yr unless parent press for it

IV antibiotics for what??
What are they treating??
IV antibiotics doesn't happen 1,2,3, and then they say, good bye, you're done. Thats not how hospitals operate...

They didn't admit her, because if they did, she wouldn't have been released 2 hours later.

There a piece of vital information missing here...

Did they check for lymphatic malformation?

This is the body's normal response to a normal infection. Swollen lymph nodes/glands are only problematic if they are chronic/long-lasting.

My baby had a cyst on his thyroid that looked like an Adam's apple, except he was one yr old. It was a hard ball on his neck.
It had to be removed surgically.
