If you’re wealthy and have money to spare, buying everything at Jewish stores is a nice thing to do. I’d shop there fully if I was rich. |
My income is not that high but definitely a large percentage is spent on food... we're a lot of people, mostly adults, and have more people for Shabbos. People spend 1000 dollars on a family of two so it makes sense that we spend close to four times that amount. We also buy a lot of vegetables, fruits, whole wheat, sourdough...
I buy paper towels and deoderant etc at Wal Mart but I do spend on delivery.
I think if I would be super frugal I could go down to 2500 (make my own challah, dips, etc) but not sure if I could go much below that.
