Sounds like some of your symptoms are from the high fever. Are you taking Tylenol? Refuah shalaimah!

Just wondering- if I constantly get colds, all my life and all year round, and now is no different than all the million other times- nothing major BH, plus not knowingly exposed afaik- I should test each time???

Also, I don't really socialize either way, so not being around many people anyway.

What is different for those who are vaccinated vs those who are unvaccinated? Is it less severe or less duration for those who are vaxxed and especially for those who are boostered?

Have COVID now - double vaxxed - no booster. This is my first time. I have a mild cold and cough but the defining factor (which caused me to test) was the sudden loss of smell.

What on earth would be the point? What would you do differently if you tested positive?

I have lots of dizziness also and I can’t sleep. I’m going crazy Cuz I’m so exhausted, I can’t get better if I’m not sleeping.
I also have zero energy with no taste and no smell.

Is there also flu going around or is it all covid? My son had similar symptoms to these posts but wasn’t feeling well enough to wait in line for 2 hours to get tested. Can we assume it’s covid?

Flu is also going around but I was told that in the last 10 days it's switched to be mostly covid. You should ask his pediatrician. He can also probably give you an apt to be tested and tamiflu if you need it.

I tested positive for flu.
No fever, but dizzy, headache and cough

My husband tested positive for Covid.
Mild cough. Some fever. Sweating and chills.

It was taking much longer for me to recover than for him. I think flu seems to last longer than Covid.

For those of you having Covid for the 2nd time- how recent did you last have Covid? We had Covid here in October, so how much risk is it for us to get sick again?

I have the same issue with sleeping. But I'm pregnant so can't take anything significant really.
But there's so much stuff to take to make you sleep better. You should look into them. Ask your Dr.

I had in March 2020 but previous infection with any variant and/or vaccination does not prevent infection with the omicron variant, just makes it milder. You probably had Delta in October. Previous infection does not prevent reinfection with omicron (but will lessen the severity) but infection with omicron will protect against future infection with delta and the other earlier strains. An infection in October of 2021 is probably similar to someone who recently had a booster vaccine, so you can still get covid, but it will likely be very mild. Hopefully you won't get it though.

I’m also pregnant. I was wondering if I’m allowed to take anything.

Oct 2021 is same category (or did you mean to write 2021?)
