Here is the flanken recipe.
3-4 onions, thinly sliced
3 cloves frozen garlic
5 pieces bone in flanken
3 tablespoons onion soup mix
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup wine
1/4 cup water.

Put onions and garlic on bottom of bottom. Top with flanken and the rest. Cover tightly and bake on 350 for 3.5-4 hours.

Do you have recipes that you can share for flanken and capons?

I’d also love a foolproof freezeable flanken roast recipe. Does that exist?

for flanken (aka short ribs)

fry/carmelize onions, brown the short ribs in the onions. chunk potatoes and put in 9 by 13. put browned short ribs/onions over the potatoes. pour hunts tomato sauce over the whole thing, add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. bake for like 3 hours. comes out so soft. this is perfect for Rosh Hashana night or Sukkos night. I'm planning on making this, my kids love the potatoes too, they come out really soft.

Yes but I changed it a bit.

I saute the onions with the pastrami. Stuff with the mixture. I add duck sauce on top before baking as sauce. My family doesn't like so much mustard rather sweet. I skip the wine.
You need more pastrami for a box of shells.

How do you make Zaatar chicken? Just sprinkle zaatar? Or is there more to it?
