Actually, dill dip was this week's experiment. I just took (really, eyeballing measurements) some mayo, tofu sour cream, 3 cloves of garlic and a bunch of dill, threw it in the food processor. THen, added salt to taste and a little olive oil to thin out the consistency. Turned out yummy. We'll see what my guests will say tonight Twisted Evil
As for the imitation crab meat salad (btw, my DS' favorite for some reason; don't ask me but that's how I get in some fish into him), it is very simple: cut up a pack of imitation crab meat (any), add 4-5 chopped hard-boiled eggs, salt to taste, dress with mayo -voila! Variations: you can add a can of corn, or some boiled potatoes and can of peas. Enjoy!

having a 2 week old baby is a good reason not to cook. And your menu is way more food than you need, or should be making. Are you having guests? If not who is eating it? Neither of you are big eaters!

If that is your simple menu.... (I have got to come to you for shabbos one week!!!!!)

I am making

challa
soup
knaidlech

chicken
squash pie
very easy oven rice???? (maybe)
stir fry (whatever veggies I can find in fridge or freezer)

choc cake

day:
challa
fish
chatzilim
cholent (bought)
chopped liver

K, reporting on dill dip. Turned out delicous, but even though I was planing it as dip/spread for challah, it came out as a great, tangy dressing for fresh vegetables salad! go figure
