Sounds sooooo good. Pity there's no Tofutti sour cream available around here. I should remember to bring some back after Pesach.
You think maybe pareve cream (like Rich's whip) will work instead of the sour cream?

NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Chocolate Chip Pie
The sweet, creamy richness of a brown sugar base makes this chocolate chip pie a perfect foil for chopped nuts and whipped or ice cream. Serve with strong coffee or tea.
Estimated Times:
Preparation - 15 min | Cooking - 55 min | Cooling Time - 15 min cooling | Yields - 8
Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell *
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 325° F.
BEAT eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.
BAKE for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
NOTES:
* If using frozen pie shell, use deep-dish style, thawed completely. Bake on baking sheet; increase baking time slightly.

Not sure. Rich's wihp is somewhat sweet, so not sure if it works out with meat in this recipe, or it can make the dish way too liquidy.

I did that once! It was disgusting. But Sarahd, maybe soy milk? Do they sell alpro where you are - cause they also make a soya cream, I've never used it, but it is kosher parev. Its called single cream. It comes in a small carton.

Today is my daughter's birthday and my parents are visiting, so its more than usual...
Challah (store-bought)

red lentil soup

roasted sweet potatoes with baby bella mushrooms
roasted chicken and plain brown rice
shepherd's pie
and a bought birthday cake for dessert

lamb, lima bean and chickpea slowcooker stew
cantaloupe for dessert

I have a pareve cream like Rich's Whip, but it's made without sugar, especially for this sort of recipe. I was actually asking more about texture than taste. So you think, tzatza, it might be too liquidy? What a pity.
Raisin, I've never heard of alpro anything. Certainly doesn't appear on the kosher list - is it a Jewish brandname?

Some kind of cake or pudding that haven't decided yet...

On the can it's usually described as "smoked brisling sardines." It's smoked sardines and it's yuuummmmm!!! Haven't had any in years.
