Wow Kmelion. . . those cheeses sound fantastic! I wish we had such a selection.

There's a wonderful cheese store in the shuk which has kosher cheeses from all over the world. As you point to a cheese and ask the proprietor what it is, he's slicing off a piece for you to try and giving you a history of the cheese... which instills a great deal of confidence when you ask him for cheese advice.

All the cheese has at least Rabbanut certification and they have quite a nice sized selection of Mehadrin cheeses.

I took a friend of mine to the store. She's from Switzerland and she nearly started crying with joy upon seeing cheeses from her childhood that she had been missing.

Only thing is... it ain't cheap. But boy oh boy... once you've had a taste, you'll never go back to 'plastic cheese' again...

Defy, we get those cheeses in NY; at Benzy’s. If you want them, I’m sure I can grab someone from your town to bring them to you . . .

Big Shabbos for us (assuming I can get all the ingredients at the store tonite, and that I can cram everything in the oven to get cooked in time).

Fizzy white wine
Bought challos

Baked gef balls with onions
Marinated vegetables
Angel hair pasta salad

Baked lemon garlic chicken with new potatoes
Butternut squash kugel with pineapple
Batter baked vegetables
(And Deli roll by day)

blueberry lb cake

It's from a website. I learned though that Ilike it better backed in an 8" pan but it's less like a pie that way. The rich's whip was my own addition as I had one other recipe which called for 1/2 a container.
