I make a tossed salad with lettuce, mango, avacado, red onion, craisons and sliced almonds.
The dressing is mayo, honey mustard, some brown sugar and apple cider vinagar. I dont have amounts b/c I basically just eye ball it every time I make it.

I love your "simple" recipes...

We're having turkey soup with lots and lots of veggies...
And rice cooked with chicken, sweet potatoes, zuchini, etc.

And we have some bought salads-
turkish salad
pesto
eggplant salad
mock chopped liver.

THAT's what I call simple. A 2 pot meal.

I'm also a keep it simple kind of gal...and we don't have too many salads unless I have guests.

green salad
tahini
babganoush
hot pepper salad

moroccan fish
chicken soup with knaidlach
chicken L'orange and spicy roasted potatoes
chocolate cake

breakfast:
homemade bagels and yogurt fruit and cake (we are allowed to eat a bit before davening...mezonot)

lunch
Mimi's cholent (a variation on Moroccan Dafina, with ashkenaz cholent touches)
same salads as before.

(as you can see, we like hariff and our food is a combination of Ashkenaz and Sephardic...I don't post every week, because we have pretty much the same thing with a few variations. Sometimes at night we have moussaka or fried gefilte fish patties)

mimivan: can we come over? Very Happy everything sounds yummy to me!

breslov: thanks for mentioning the mock chopped liver. I want to make some for this Shabbos. I think I like mock chopped liver better than the real thing!

Bclal I love reading about different Shabbos traditions through everyone's menus. Although many people's might be different but it's all good.
