Yum! I am getting inspired.
What's in the Indian citrus dressing?

I decided to go in a different direction. I was going to make a citrus dressing with various Indian spices, but I realized there was too much going on, with all the cilantro and peanut stuff in the rest of the meal. This is what I'm doing instead, it's a simple Citrus Dressing:

Fresh orange juice
Fresh lime juice
Cider vinegar
honey
salt & pepper

I wanted something citrus-y to offset the heaviness of the rice, and I figured a salad with orange segments, kiwi and greens might do the trick.

Thanks, but I can't take credit -- it's a recipe that I've made some changes to, from a cookbook. The original recipe also has strawberries, but they're out of season. I do a lot with orange segments (lots of salad and side dishes) because I love them, but thought including kiwi might be fun for a change.

I get bored of the same food week after week. my husband wishes I would make the same food every week- pick something good and stick with it. I just can't.

this week I just went to the makolet and decided while there what to make... I had no idea even while I was at the store...

when we go to my in laws, its always the same yummy food.
challah
morrocan nile perch
vegetable salad
eggplant salad
cabbage salad
chumus

chicken soup with croutons

chicken
potato kugel
farfel
sometimes broccoli kugel

either compote or ice cream

shabbos day its just challah, cholent, kishka, beef, desert. sometimes the fish course if she wants to be fancy.

I put it in a bag, drizzle some olive oil inside, and shake it up so all the cauliflower is coated. Then I lay the cauliflower in a pan and sprinkle garlic salt and paprika on it. I bake it on 400 till it's crispy.

(I use frozen cauliflower, I'm too lazy to use fresh).

Defy, one more question about the cauliflower... do you defrost it first?
