I have a recipe that calls for "10 pieces of salmon" I got the frozen boneless fillets from Costco. They are pretty big. I was just going to use 5 of them and cut them in 1/2. Does that mean 5 pieces or 10 pieces?

Your 5 pieces is probably their 10.
Do you know how much your salmon weighs?
A piece of salmon is generally about 6 oz.
Besides... you can totally just follow the recipe as is even if the pieces are somewhat smaller.

I wouldn't worry about how much salmon cause the sauce or spices are just that ...
salmon taste good as cold leftovers - so it depends on your whim - but you can certainly serve 1/2 pieces - unless that is the main course
