Just made 4-6 salmon steaks, 2 slices onions, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1/4 cup vinegar, and some salt and black pepper. It came out great!
It called for cloves bay leaves and pickling spice but I didn’t have any and it was still good.

Thanks, but does anyone have a recipe from a cookbook with exact amounts of everything, for both
Sweet Salmon (not Sour) and
Sweet and Sour Salmon.

The idea of transferring cooked salmon scares me. No Salmon slices got messed up?
Id probably boil all the ingredients in a pot and then when boiling, pour it all into a 9 X 13 foil tin, lined w parchement, and bake the Salmon, and then I dont have to move the Salmon portions and risk breaking them.
Opinions, anyone?
