lentil tomato and potato salad
potato salad
chickpea salad
white bean dip
three bean salad
raw beet salad
fennel salad
sfardic cooked beet salad
egg salad
israeli salad
chilbeh
spicy carrot salad
moroccan pickled lemons
broccoli rabe/rapini pesto
foraged greens salad made with milk thistle, mallow, rapini, cucumbers, pomegranate seeds with a homemade mayo and passionfruit dressing. (Only non foraged things are the cucumbers and mayo.)
Garlicky sticky chicken wings
buffalo wings
shnitzel

I never heard of chilbeh until I had problems nursing. lol! How does the vegetable look, I only know the capsules.

Same as we have every week pinky!


Chicken soup...from what I made last week...it went over that well (not) but I'm going to try and flavor it up with some soup mix a friend gave me.I dont like them but she is on a new medical diet and why not? I'm not anti them.

BBQ Chicken.
Challah kugel (note to self next time leave out rosemary and maybe dill family prefers it that way..and here I thought I was being so inventive)

Salads...

How much can people eat? As it is I sometimes have stomach trouble from the food.

its actually quite funny looking. Its a seed, not a vegetable. It becomes a mushy gooey tan mass.

I just use puff pastry and pastrami- thats it

Plain and simple not inspired to patchke Shabbos:

home made challah( not a patchke, it's my pleasure)
boiled fish loaf
store bought dips
my pickle dip
pickled carrots and celery (lasts the whole week)
pickled turnips and beets (lasts the whole week)
turkey drumsticks
sweet potatoes
broccoli kugel
chicken soup from freezer

chocolate cupcakes

cholent with eggs in it
dips from Friday night

Baked veal chops with rice

Lemon crumb cake

Lunch:
Pastrami chicken roll ups with duck sauce for dipping
Left over rice

no guests tonight, no time to cook fancy:

home baked challah (poppyseed)
tuna-corn spread (we are not into fish)
hummus (bought)
zwiblmitei (my speciality, my grandmothers recipe)

chickensoup (I had some frozen from last week so I just need to heat it up) with fresh knaidlach

chicken drumsticks in lemon sauce
rice
crougettes in tomato sauce

pink jello and apple sauce plus fresh fruit

Baked Veal Chops:
1 c uncooked rice
4 veal chops
s+p
1 onion, chopped finely
2 c chicken broth

Preheat oven to 350. Spread rice over bottom of 9x13 pyrex. Season veal chops with s+p. Heat 1 tbsp oil in frying pan and sear meat until nice and brown on each side. Remove veal and place on top of rice. Saute onion in reserved pan drippings until golden brown. Spoon onions over veal chops. Pour chicken broth over rice. Cover tightly with tinfoil and bake for 45 minutes.

Lemon Crumb cake:
Crumb topping:
1 cup sugar
zest of 1 lemon
1/2 stick margarine melted
1 T lemon juice
1 1/4 cup flour
Mix together and set aside.

Cake:
Mix together:
2 eggs
2 T lemon juice
1 c soy milk
2 sticks melted margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
Add:
3 c flour
1 T baking powder
1 tsp fine sea salt

Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9x13. Sprinkle crumbs over top and bake for 45 minutes at 350.
