breaded/roasted chicken with potatoes
cholent and cold cuts by day and some more salads by day

this week I was so not prepared for shabbos and even bought all the food today and started cooking at twelve. I didnt think it would happen lol

roasted garlic in olive oil
chicken soup with noodles

roast chicken
potato kugel
yams
cranberry relish
stir-fried veggies: broccolini, red bell pepper, portobello mushrooms, green onions

chocolate mousse-filled jellyroll cake
fresh fruit: kiwi, raspberries, satsuma mandarin oranges

Tomorrow:
Buffet salad bar: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, hearts of palm, beets, tuna salad, hard-boiled egg slices, chickpeas, house dressing

deli meat
deli roll (store-bought)

This week our Shabbos was very last-minuteish because DH was sickish so we had to stay home Friday night and then went to my in-laws Shabbos day...we were going to go to our friends who, B"H, had a baby boy this morning! So I made double, for us and them.

Chilled salmon with honey-mustard dipping sauce
Chicken soup from my MIL
Yummy stuffed boneless chicken thighs over potatoes with duck sauce and orzo
Dessert was an apple kugely thing warm with vanilla ice cream

sarah86, your menu sounds YUM. got me in the mood for a cranberry-apple type kugel, but I already did my shopping. oh well.

friday night: (gonna have 4 or 5 yeshiva guys)
homemade challah (and this week I won't undercook it like last!!!!!)
chicken soup (in the crockpot... first time!)
london broil
potato knish kugel or doughless knishes (same thing, really)
broccoli kugel
yerushalmi kugel (first time)
tri-color pepper salad

Friday night:
Lachuch,
chilbeh,
matbucha,
mayo,
fennel beet radish salad,
chicken and dumplings (made with homemade sesame milk instead of regular milk)
and if I have time, fruit soup.

Shabbos day:
Lachuch,
chilbeh,
matbucha,
mayo,
fennel beet radish salad,
mock ptcha (calves foot jelly),
eggs,
garlicky chicken thighs,
sesame spaghetti.

Wow, I haven't posted on this thread in so long I totally forgot about this thread! No guests this shabbos for a change, looking forward to very simple and very relaxing.

Regular and Whole Wheat Challah
Gefilta Fish
Caesar Salad
Chopped Liver
Whole Livers
Egg Salad
Chicken Soup

Italian Shnitzle
Sesame Chicken Wings
Potato Kugel
Zuchinni Kugel

Fresh Strawberries for dessert

Shabbos lunch will be all of the same and Cholent.

Chicken soup
mixed veggies with chicken breast
radish and fennel salad with lemon dressing.
challah kugel; sweet and savory
metbachat (gift) and babagnoush (same) and thank you Seraph they froze well


Basically the same but chicken wings for the next day...and I may add rice not sure yet
and eggplant boats

and I baked a cake which is really a modern miracle in this family since I hate baking and it tastes good and I only fooled with it a bit
