so I'm going to make kreplach using wonton wrappers w/ ground beef- is the soup just my standard chicken soup w/ veggies or do I have to change something?

just drop them in. you may want to use a drop of water around the edges before you fold them to help them seal.

I always cook mine in plain (salted) water. I find if I cook them in the soup it gets cloudy.

Sounds delish! I would definitely pre-cook the kreplach separately the same way you'd pre-cook matzo balls. Garnish the soup with sliced green onions, just to make it pretty. I'd also add a squeeze of lemon juice, to cut the richness of the beef and the broth together. Or if I had a stalk of lemongrass, that'd be simmering away in the broth.
