My nephew from my side recently got married and my mother hosted a sheva brachos which I helped her arrange. She got hold of a poem with a shoe theme of how 2 shoes are necessary to be able to walk, and needs to be one right one left and a few other points which symbolized a relationship with 2 ppl. It was placed at every setting on the women’s side alongside a small clear shoe filled with candies.
Somehow dh sisters found out and one sis asked me if I can do the same for her child’s upcoming sheva brachos. I told her I would. My question is this- 4 weeks later another nephew on dh side is getting married… because the 2 weddings are so close apart, I feel the need to do something for that sheva brachos as well. First sil said I could do the same as the other side is different ppl. However, I do feel a little dumb and my mother too is saying it’s a little stupid. I was thinking of doing hot cocoa bombs for the next one and writing “what a ‘bomb’ of a shidduch”!
Would you do the shoe with the poem or the bomb?

I wouldn’t do the same for both events personally, even if half the people will be different

I wouldn’t do the same a month later. I have seen mints with “mint to be”, also little pear candies with the perfect “pear”,

I hear that, they’re cute ideas, though the poem is based on how one can’t be without the other… also the crowd it’s for socks wouldn’t do, and I don’t want to spend that much on earrings
I appreciate it though!

When I hear bomb, I think terrible.
Like "that date was a bomb"
Not a positive like "that was a bomb kasha"

Never heard that expression, I guess because we don’t do the dating system.

Two hearts, one love, a bond that's true,
A perfect match, they always knew.
Together they shine, as bright as can be,
This couple was truly "mint" to be.

A fresh new start, a love so sweet,
With every step, their joy's complete.
Thank you for sharing this day with glee,
To celebrate a love that's "mint" to be!

-----

A perfect pair, like two as one,
Their journey of love has just begun.
Bound by joy, with hearts so rare,
Truly they are a perfect "pear."

Sweetness and love in every stride,
Together they'll flourish, side by side.
Thank you for sharing their special affair,
Celebrating love—a perfect "pear."
