Is there a diaper brand or some other trick to avoid dealing with all the newborn blowouts?

Pampers swaddlers and pull out the ruffles.
But firstly, put all the ruffles of any diaper brand you’re using.

I sized up from newborn to one at about one week and ba"h that's been working for me for now.

Maybe size up.
Make sure diaper is centered and close tightly.
Is your baby having diarrhea?

Make sure you follow the tape “directions” on the front of the diaper, make sure the tape is on the check/plus part not that x part.

Use Huggies little snugglers. They’re so much better than swaddlers. They have an extra pocket kind of thing near the top of the back of the diaper that really helps prevent (though isn’t always perfect…) poop from exploding up their back. And like others have said- always make sure all the leg flaps are pulled out and the diaper isn’t too small.
