Title says it all.
Today is his last day.
how can I celebrate it with the kids.
we all sacrificed these last few months so that he can go.
No extracurriculars because he's the one driving the kids. And I've been doing bedtime and Sundays alone for the last few months.

so we all deserve a celebration.

but my minds blank.

I was gonna tell the kids to make a nice sign for when he comes home. but I need more ideas.
kids are ages toddler to preteen.

Ice cream party?

Can you buy fire hats or some other themed item in a dollar store? Too late for Amazon.

Play liar liar pants on fire
It’s two truths and a lie, two kids say the truth one kid lies. The one who you think is lying you squirt with a water gun

I like these ideas. Keep em coming!

No outdoor fires or fireworks. There are wildfires pretty close by.

When my DH finished his EMT course I ordered custom cookies. But maybe you can get your kids to make some fire shaped cookies and then use red, orange & yellow icing to decorate. Or any cookie essentially and then add pretzel sticks for twigs etc.

Thanks ya'll!
Kids ended up drawing and making some signs for tonight.
Dh just came home and they all stayed up late. But no party.
We'll have to plan something for sometime next week.
I'm keeping all suggestions. If I'll remember I'll let you gals know what happens....
