I’d think it was a little nerdy but wouldn’t think much else about it other than for a second. It certainly wouldn’t be something that would prevent me from considering sending a kid there.

Please don't, there used to be a school in my city with that name. It's really not a good idea. Morbid.

Yes, it's weird.

But not as bad as an old age home in my town that's called Gan Eden! Can't Believe It

Extremely weird.

Firstly, like many posters have pointed out, no one wants a child in gan eden.

Secondly, assuming this is for very young children, this will likely be the first time they hear the phrase "gan eden". First impressions are very strong, and they'll come to associate the phrase with their kindergarten.

I think it depends where you’re located. In Israel this wouldn’t sound as strange as in America

There was a playgroup called Gan Eden in Queens. It's a great place. Not sure I would have chosen that name though.

I’ve sent my kids to Gan Eden playgroup in Lakewood. There were multiple age groups and every single class was full. A good school is a good school and people will send there regardless of the name

My brother went to gan Eden preschool in Cedarhurst, it’s not around anymore.
I thought it was cute but I can hear why people are turned off by it…

I went there as a kid. I guess that's why it sounds normal to me

Well we lived opposite gan eden old age home and we used to joke that if that's gan eden, then we must be in living in the opposite place (ie gehenom).

But I agree with the other posters, find some other name to use instead.
