She just got new sneakers and is getting so frustrated, it's not working.
She's going to a big girl Daycamp; I want her to be independent
Any ideas of lace up sneakers was a dumb purchase

You can buy the no tie rubber laces.

I tried and tried, but my kids couldn't do it until they were at least 10. Even if they knew how to tie their laces, it was never tight enough and would get them so annoyed. So I just buy those little clips that come with an elastic lace on amazon. It works great and everyone is happy.

Yes it works. I taught my daughter and she finally can do it. Doesn't always come out perfectly but it's a good start.

As a preschool teacher, I vowed to only get my kids velcro. No buckles, no laces.
Some kids do have a knack for it. My nephew was not only tying but removing and inserting the laces from age 3. There are these boards with laces to teach them. Or staple 2 laces to a cardboard.
