There's a sale in my community in the next several weeks, hosted by The Wig Outlet. I never hear of them, and the ad says "tagless." Anybody know who/what this? Have you bought from them and been happy?

I think old versions of brand names stuff Sheitel machers can’t sell but obviously new and beautiful just not up to date this minute.
Hit or miss worth a look

I went a couple months ago to a sale they had by me...agree can be hit or miss, but I got a sheitel I absolutely love (and now wear everyday) for a really good price...I would go back and buy a second one from them and am actually waiting for them to come close to me again for another pop-up...if you know what you like, your color, style, and have a good sheitel macher I think they are great....there were variations in the quality (some better than others, silkier hair etc) but overall really nice stuff...honestly just seems like inventory from regular normal places we would buy from that they haven't sold and it's "tagless" because The Wig Outlet buys the overstock or extra inventory from (Sary, Irene, or whomever etc) and those stores don't want you to know the wigs they sell for $2500-4500 can be bought for $1200-1500

I would say go with a trusted friend who can help you try on and tell you what looks good on you

Why couldn’t they sell the wigs? I’m confused about what overstock there would be in sheitels.. if they look like normal sheitels why can’t they be sent out? It’s not like a clothing brand with season by season items

Sorry to revive an old thread, was searching about wig outlet for an upcoming sale

They are not real brands. It's mostly stuff from China.
Shaitel machers have not recognized any of these "tagless" wig brands.

They used to be Overstock which was great
Now they just make their own brand less ones that don’t seem the same

How do you know they make their own brandless ones? Do they say which are overstock and which are their own? I still don’t understand how a wig can be overstock!

I saw one with a real tag they forgot to cut off - at their first Monsey sale. Idk if now it's no longer overstock

If they were from china they’d feel like the Chinese ones. Thin - and all the same (I have one and so does my sister).
I bought 2 with them so far (at two different sales).
I am 99% sure one is an Irene just from the texture heaviness and style - it’s very very similar to my Irene I had previously.
The other I don’t know but it’s luscious and thick and not thin/Chinese at all.

They specifically said that it's NOT their own Chinese make. I myself bought their recently and am in love! it's either Irene or scary I would say

Yes, my sheitelmacher told me to buy from them and not her. I did and am so happy.
She said basically they get a tax write off for giving their wigs to wig outlet and “lose money” (gain in the long run because of the writeoff). They are mostly sarys and irenes

Do they get the wigs from sheitel machers or the companies themselves?

I just bought from there since I was looking for a cheap wig. The lady that stood there and sold the wigs, promised me that I'm buying a virgin hairs saying that they are worth 5k and here it seemed like I got a steel of a deal. I was so excited. It has had one issue that the color was lighter than my original color , but the piece looked and felt great. I was told since it's virgin hairs , it will pick up my actual color right away. I went for it , believing that I got a great deal for virgin hairs. , took it to the colorist , well, the color hasn't picked up. Colorist claims it can't be virgin since virgin wouldn't make an issue picking up color. I really feel fooled by the wig. It's still in the process of the work it needs , I havnt tried yet to see the outcome or results. I'm hoping for the best. But was definitely a risk to buy a off color. I trusted them that the Colorist would be able to color it. It hasn't picked up as I thought it will.

It changed in the past like 4-6 months
It’s no longer the Overstock
That’s how they have thousands of pieces for each sale in each neighborhood

I bought from them a few months ago and bh very happy. I put in 400 to make the hairline amazing and few hundred for the cut. I have been contrary how they have so many wigs. I assumed many are from china at this point. But almost all the wig companies today have their wigs go thru china so..

Wig places always have overstock because they bring in new lines/styles and put the old ones on clearance. It's not clear to me why you would go to this sale instead of the official sary clearance sale for example. But wig overstock is a very real thing.

It would not, so many SMs manufacture through China now. I ordered a few wigs from China and they are thick and beautiful.

I'm also confused how they have so much stock for multiple sales on the same day.

On their IG, they said it's not virgin hair so to that poster, I'm not sure why someone at the sale said it was. But they promised they don't get from China directly ever, only from the sheitel companies. You think that's not true?

I wish they wrote sizing though. So frustrating to have to pick through a heap of tagless of pieces. Once they're anyways relabeling and writing the MSRP on each wig, just take the extra second to rewrite the wig size in as well.

I got a great wig from them in their early days but I couldn’t correctly assess whether it fit my head right. So now I’m looking to sell it.

They explicitly said that they were virgin hair 2 months ago when I asked.
Something smells off to me, how do they have access to thousands of overstocks from brand name companies? What were the companies doing with all these thousands of wigs last year and all the years beforehand? Wouldn't someone with an Irene or Sary be able to match the inside to one of the sale ones?
Call me a cynic but this really seems like a too good to be true situation.
