I found this story cute but meaningful, didn't know where to put it, but here goes.
For those people who heard this story as well at the chai ellul gathering in montreal, please correct me if I misquoted.
A chosid of the L. Rebbe once made a trip to the L.Rebbe in New york. It was in the early 50's so it was big trip from Cleveland to new york.
the Chosid went in for a yechidus ( private audience) with the L.Rebbe
the L.Rebbe asked him: Why are here? anything important? the chosid said " just to see you"
the Rebbe replied: " and thats it" to this the chosid said: "yes that's it"
the Rebbe again said " thats it???" and the chosid answered again" "yes that's it" the chossid starts thinking , what could the REbbe be refereing too..what is today?
He remembers and says " well today is my anniversary."
the REbbe exclaims" and you say that isn't a something" ( meaning- you didn't find it important to tell me that it was your anniversary)
