Just in case the question is not clear:
If one waits only 3 hours (or even just 1 hour) between meat and dairy, how long does that person have to wait after eating a 6 hour cheese? I mean, it's actually labeled '6 hour cheese'. Is that because most people wait 6 hours in general, or is it a different halacha than meat/dairy?

My rav says 6 hour cheese is 6 hour wait regardless.

I never asked, but I wait 6.

Per the rav I spoke to it is the same as what you hold for meat
