Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency Saturday as the number of coronavirus cases in New York jolted upward, with 89 people now confirmed sick, including 12 in the Big Apple.

One of the new city cases is a 33-year-old Uber driver from the Rockaways who worked on Long Island; he is in isolation in Queens hospital in “serious” condition, Mayor Bill de Blasio said.

Only 10 of the state’s patients are so sick that they are currently hospitalized; the remaining 85 percent are recovering in isolation at home, Cuomo said.

Still, remaining “calm” is not a priority — testing is, he said.

Israel also added New York to list of places on quarantine list.
So anyone flying to Israel from NY, has to quarantine for 14 days.

Also I think it’s just matter of time before they shut down the schools
Another issue is having an overwhelmed healthcare system
Italy has About 6000 cases of Corona, and half are hospitalized.
Personally I am panicking .

Maybe I didn’t understand what it says but I read that they are considering it, not that the policy is in place

In Westchester you can’t visit a nursing home or a assisted living home
1000 members of the young Israel of newrochelle are self quarantined
Twenty members have it
A Westchester datum school student has it
Two kids from Westchester Torah academy have it
The Westchester day school is closed
The Westchester Torah academy is closed
Some public schools are closed
Newrochelle public schools are open
A teacher at Albert Leonard middle school has it but the school is not closed
Some parents are not sending their kids to public school

If they do it then it may be retroactive as their other quarantined were. So if you fly under no quarantine you can be placed under one in a week.
