I already cooked my gefilte fish and I just got invited out for the entire shabbos. Is there something I can do with it to keep it for next week or is it ruined. Can I freeze it or will that be gross? Nobody here will eat it during the week and I'd hate to throw it out. Any ideas?

TIA

Keep it in the fridge, then next week, slice it, dip each slice in egg and then flavored breadcrumbs and fry- a delish supper. We always do that with leftover fish, and if there isn't so much, I serve it as an "appetizer" for supper.

I make triple and freeze.

It's a bit soggy, but my family hasn't commented at all!

Freeze it. But freeze the sauce seperate to prevent it going soggy.
I wrapt the cooked fish in baking paper then aluminium foil. It was a log so was easy.

Enjoy shabbos
and make sure ur a good guest Wink otherwise we'll have some amother grumbling to us on Monday morning!

It will keep in the refrigerator until next week. Or, as previous poster suggested, freeze it. I normally make a whole loaf then cut into 2 or 3 and freeze the rest.

Defrost it in the refrigerator.

I've frozen already baked loaves with success.

Enjoy your Shabbos off - we were also invited out both meals so tomorrow is a TRUE day off for me.

I've frozen it in foil without any sauce & it tasted fine. Just make sure that you put the roll covered in foil in a sealed bag. You don't want to get a freezer taste.

I never had a problem freezing it. Defrost in the fridge.

you can bring it with you, explain the situation or maybe give it to a neighbor who could use it.
