I love the chicken Guacamole in Flour Tortillas (I do a whole Mexican theme for shabbat sometimes and these are awesome- I also do Layered southwest salad from here, I just sub regular tortilla chips for the do it yourself version), Broccoli Cashew Salad is great, slow roasted rotisserie chicken is yum, a bit spicy though- I cut back on the cayenne pepper, I make the jewel toned orzo all the time, sweet potato wedges with vanilla rum sauce is yum and different than the usual sweet pot's, cauliflower popcorn is good, asparagus shiitake loaf is really yummy, but I try not to use puff pastry so often.
Have fun and enjoy your new cookbook!

I have this cookbook for over a year now, and only tried a couple of recipes. Mainly because it's very hard to find many of the ingredients here.

But, the zucchini carrot bread was good! It has a yummy topping!!!

also tried the chocolate-mint dalmatian cookies
the double chocolate cookies (used canola oil instead of marg)
The stained glass cookies (very pretty and impressive!!)

I would LOVE to try the chocolate-peanutbutter diamonds.... except it calls for 4(!!!) sticks of butter!!!!!!

I agree -- I made the apple crunch galette on Sukkos and it was a very big hit.

I've made 2 at one time on a Thursday. I serve 1 on shabbos and the other one I freeze to serve a different time. It freezes great. I just defrosted it on my counter at room temperature.
Once defrosted I stored it in the fridge.
You can also make the dough earlier in the week and then add the apples on Thursday or Friday and bake then.

I made it a few days in advance and kept it refrigerated. Good to know it freezes well. If I were to freeze it, I'd only serve it after heating in the oven (afraid dough would be soggy otherwise).
