I am one of those ppl that cant. I am the oldest and feel responsible for my parents. They are not ppl that can "help" therself. I need to make sure they are ok and some of it is in my head too. If youre parents are strong emotionally you are very very very lucky. |
No need to explain. I was talking to OP who doesn't seem to be in your position at all. Regardless, if in your specific case, staying near your parents means living in 700 sq ft I would advise you to ask a shaila about your chiyuv, and what's the right thing to do. AIUI you have a greater obligation to your dh and kids than to your parents, so you gotta weigh both ends here. As far as my parents being emotionally strong, you really don't want to know... Since this thread isn't about me, I will stop right here but you should just know that making assumptions about other posters based on the opinions they post is very not advisable cuz you really dont know anything.

(Although I do feel bad they have to travel so much and my son often vomits on the bus) I don't know if if finding a local job would help much as nothing is walking distance so I'd need to take ubers back and forth every day. (Again, driving isn't an option) the best would be a remote job but those are so hard to find and I crave social interaction |
I just think that you’re not letting yourself become rooted in your new community because you’re all traveling back to the original one everyday. IMO it’s contributing to your misery. Think about putting down more roots and over time you will become more invested and content in your new place. I still do think a job locally would help, even with Ubers.
