Can I freeze this before opening? I dont want to use it yet but I bought it and dont want it to go bad..

I often freeze soy meats. I can't imagine what wouldn't be ok with freezing this.

Funny, I actually used this for dinner tonight...
I don't know when you'll eventually use it but since it's not actual meat, it can stay in the fridge for a while. See what the sell by date is. I think it was Jan '09 on the package I used.
Same goes for the tofutti cream cheese, so when they're cheap somewhere I get a bunch and I don't worry about them going bad.

just tried the soy crumbles.
They taste like chemicals...im so disappointed!

I used Lightlife Gimme Lean Ground Beef Substitue in a Taco Soup (beans, corn, onions, tomatoes, taco sauce), and my family did not know the difference. When I told them, they were amazed. It probably works better in a recipe than as an entree. I will definitely use it again, because it was WAY cheaper than meat!
