Ok, can I show this thread to dh to finally prove to him that no, my family did not make all of these words up, and his family is just missing half of the heimishe vocabulary? Or is that against Imamother t.o.s.?

I don’t use Yoish yunchy since it was never kart of my vocabulary.
Libavhchet Yiddish hardly uses any English words.

I’m not even 30 yet.

Almost all of those words are part of regular vocabulary of Yiddish speakers. Not sure why she thinks other chassidim don't use them. They are all part of the regular satmar yiddish vocab. Maybe our accent is different, but the words are there. Didn't know the Russian word.

I worked in Satmar and they didn’t know some of these words meaning they used the English (blue words )

Where in Satmar did you work? There is a big difference between BP and Williamsburg or Monsey and Monroe for example.

I'm satmar and these words below are regularly used words, depending on the person. So I say pencil but dh says blei. We know the definitions of 99% of the other ones used more commonly in writing. Wasn't familiar with the Russian ones.

Each kid had a para. The echtiga Satmar didn’t know these and was surprised.

We use also shpieltzeigen.

Also most of the list is generally only used in writing, so if someone speaks Yiddish but only reads English (as in books or magazines) they might not know those words.
