Oh my gosh, I’m flying on Friday and I had absolutely no idea! I usually think to check these things, but for the first time ever I did not. I don’t know how we will fly and not drink anything. We have to ask a Shayla’s

We have shabbos sheva brachos…..pretty sure it won’t be a super quick davening. It’s going to be odd not fasting around all the family.

But it's the men who set the pace for davening.

If a woman wants to, she can make kiddush at home whole her husband is still in shul.

We'll find out how long davening takes when they're in a rush. It doesn't mean that on a regular Shabbos they are wasting time just davening more slowly with more kavana.

Last year was also on a Friday and I had a shabbos sheva bruchos and it was very quick. The men were fasting. I loved it becuase the meal started quickly.
On another note they are just starting to daven earlier than they usually do .

Yom kippur. We find out how long marriv takes!
It's amazing how much faster they finish when hungry as opposed to bedtime and cranky kids.

And I was thinking, based on the thread title and all the Erev Shabbos food threads.
That this Friday night we'll see just how much toameha impacts our appetite.

Those that say that they only eat challah dips, and soup. Are you planning on making a significant main course this week?
Im expecting a lot of hungry people.
(I also have a house full of teenage fasters)

I would expect Megillas Esther to be rushed because everyone is fasting and the zman is later but it still takes forever so I don’t expect this Friday night to be any different than the usual.
